The boy and the others scavenge through the ruins. The memories of the incident are still fresh in their minds, not letting them forget. They still remember what life was like before that incident. Their lives were normal, they were happy. That's not to say that they're not all happy now, but the people who are happy keep it hidden. As they walk through the debris, they try to look for survivors that could help their cause. All they find are smoldering fires and burnt plant-life. Right now they believe they're safe. The machines usually don't come out during the day. It's been two years since it started, since they were confined inside the city walls. They vividly remember how all of it happened. It wasn't just some ordinary riot, it was a worldwide disaster, no, a worldwide phenomenon. It spread like a wildfire, first it happened in one city, then another, then it came to a point where these events kept repeating themselves all over the world at the same time. It was too big to be called a coup d'etat. It was a worldwide war. Not for religious reasons or for political reasons. The war was started, just for war. Just for violence. Nobody knew who started it except for the people who went to that school. Some people believe that Despair is contagious, and that's how it became worldwide. The boy and the others except that, but they also believe that Hope is contagious, and that they will someday put an end to the incident.
